Ok, so maybe that's a teeny bit misleading.... but
really, we ARE playing Lucas Oil Stadium this Weds!
We'll be playing on the big stage located on the North
End of the stadium, for a corporate function. What
makes this gig special, is that for the very first time
ever in ten years with the band, Jimmie Bruhn will be
unable to attend because he will be attending his
daughters high school graduation that same night. How
can he be expected to miss that in favor of Jessie's
Girl?? So... we had a team meeting to discuss the
situation.
Broken and shattered, Kevin softly spoke..... "How can
we go on without Jimmie?"
"If only there were someone equally as talented who
could fill in for him" quipped Robin.
"Listen guys... no need to worry, I can cover it no
problem!" I confidently replied.
"Yeah, but what the blazing guitar solos?" Kevin
teased.
"I'm starving. Roof job. Jaco. Living the Dream"
mumbled Robin as he man-handled his burrito.
"Wait a second guys! I've got it! The most important
thing we'll be missing is the sexy factor that only
Jimmie can provide right? So, who do we know that is
talented, familiar with our material, knows how to
properly cook blue gill over an open flame, and is
sexier than John Stamos?" I asked.
Suddenly a light bulb mysteriously appeared from the
air, hovering silently above their heads, and all three
men blurted out at the same exact time: "Phil Pierle!".
So, a call was made, and Phil City Roller answered that
call! That's right peeps, Phil Pierle.... legendary
frontman of
The Woomblies, and once... no
twice... no... three times was a member of Punch
Judy!
The Rock Rolls on!
